What is a rapture ?
Just imagine this. You’re queuing up in McDonalds just like everybody else and suddenly the guy whose standing next to you just disappears in a twinkling of an eye. Surprised? Well, this scenario which is about to come is called the rapture. This will just only be one of the millions of disappearances that will happen simultaneously all around the world.

Confused?
Well, this was foretold in the Holy Bible, a book written about thousands of years ago by prophets. In the Holy Bible, it says in 1 Thesselonians 4:16-17 , it says, “ For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Huh?
What do you mean? Well, the Bible basically says that The Lord Jesus himself will return with the shout of an archangel and the believers in him (The Christians) will be caught with him in the air. This phenomenon is called the ‘Rapture’. All the believers in Jesus Christ will be taken from this earth. Those who are left behind will have to face the wrath of the ‘Anti-Christ’, cause when this happens, the Holy Spirit will be taken away from this planet as well.

How does this affect us?
The world as we know it is already in the midst of preparing itself for the coming of the ‘Anti-christ’ or the ‘beast’ or ‘lawless one’ as the Bible puts it. Internet Technology, E-Commerce, Television and all the technological advances man has accomplished in this last century alone has all the pieces to this puzzle. The book Revelations says in Revelations 13: 16-18, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their fore-heads and that no man might buy or sell save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

How do we know that this is true?
Do an internet search on the new IBM Bio-Chip. You will be surprised. Just imagine a microchip small enough to be placed under your skin and operating from on the heat from your body. IBM has already developed this. Listen to this, it only works on two places in the body, which are the warmest and yet close enough to external epidermis, that is on your right hand or fore-head. This Bio-chip is actually meant to replace standard ID procedures in the future. The introduction to the Credit card also gave man a glimpse of a cashless society. The new E-Commerce protocols developed on the internet are now known as fore- runners of the common protocol to be used for the Bio-chip. Innovative, it will replace cash and also provide a efficient way of storing your ID and credentials. We are heading towards this. Look it up. You will’ be surprised. That great time of tribulation is coming soon.

How can you escape?
Well, you can escape by being a believer. By asking the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life. In the book of Romans 10: 9 it says, “If thou wouldst confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

How do I confess this?
Just say this prayer with your mouth and mean it will all your heart and believe:-

Lord, I believe that you sent your son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die for me on the cross two thousand years ago to die for me. I am a sinner and am unworthy, but while I was still a sinner you sent your son to die for me. I Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and raised on the third day. Today I accept your free gift of salvation, please come into my life and make me a new creation. Thank you, Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
